General FAQs

How do I book a session or wedding with you?

Booking starts through my contact form. From there, we’ll connect about your vision, location, and timing before securing your date with a signed contract and retainer.

Do you help with locations?

Yes! I’m happy to suggest locations based on the look you’re drawn to, accessibility, season, and how you want the experience to feel.

Can we choose the location for our session?

Absolutely! Whether it's at your home, a scenic outdoor location, or a venue of your choice, I'm open to capturing your photos in a place that holds meaning to you.

Can we bring our dog / include our pet?

They are part of the family, of course! I'd be a little offended if you didn't. Pets are always welcome where locations allow—just let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.

When will we receive our photos?

Turnaround times vary by session type, but you can generally expect galleries within a few weeks for sessions and several weeks for weddings. You’ll receive a private online gallery to download and share. Exact wait times are listed within the process breakdown on each session investment page.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We all know the PNW is known for its moody, unpredictable weather. As long as you’re comfortable, I’m always happy to shoot rain or shine—overcast skies, mist, and light rain can make for incredibly beautiful photos. If conditions are unsafe or you’d prefer to reschedule, we’ll make that call together.

We’re nervous in front of the camera—what if we feel awkward?

Totally normal. I’ll guide you through natural prompts and movement so nothing feels stiff or overly posed. Most clients tell me this ends up being way more fun than they expected.

Do you travel?

Absolutely yes! I’m always open to travel, whether it’s a nearby trail or a destination celebration. Any travel details or extra costs are discussed upfront during booking.

What if we need to reschedule?

No worries, I get that life happens! If you need to reschedule, we’ll communicate options together based on my policies that are outlined in your contract.

Wedding FAQs

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book 6–8 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season. Elopements and smaller weddings may have more flexibility.

Do you help with timelines or planning?

Sure thing! I’m more than happy to help with timeline flow, lighting considerations, and planning advice to ensure the day feels relaxed and unrushed.

What happens if the weather isn’t ideal?

This is the PNW—we don’t wait for perfect forecasts. If you’re down, I’m always ready to shoot rain or shine. Fog, mist, and rain often elevate the mood. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll pivot together.

Can we request specific shots or moments?

This is your day, of course! Family groupings, meaningful details, or moments that matter most to you are always welcome. I balance requests with natural storytelling.

Do you travel for weddings and elopements?

Yes! I love destination weddings and elopements. Travel fees vary by location and are always discussed during booking.

Do you offer albums or prints?

Yes. Custom albums and fine-art prints are available and can be ordered directly through your gallery.

Pet FAQs

What if my pet is shy, energetic, or nervous?

That’s completely okay. Sessions are relaxed and pet-led, allowing plenty of time for breaks, movement, and getting comfortable. I have a background in pet care and can adjust to whatever your pet needs to be comfortable and happy.

Can I be in the photos with my pet?

Of course! These sessions are about connection, and you’re always welcome to be included.

What should I bring to a pet session?

Treats, toys, a leash, and anything your pet loves are great to have on hand. I’ll guide you on what works best for the session type.

What if the weather isn’t ideal?

We embrace a little weather here in the PNW! If you’re comfortable, I’m happy to shoot rain or shine. If conditions aren’t safe or enjoyable for your pet, we’ll reschedule.

Do you work with senior or end-of-life pets?

I most certainly do! Rainbow Bridge sessions are offered with care, patience, and compassion, focusing on honoring your pet and your connection.

Do you photograph pets outdoors and at home?

Yes! I offer in-home sessions, park sessions, and adventure sessions depending on what best fits your pet’s personality.
